There is another arcane rumor about him that he had murdered a woman, and had trapped his soul in his violin and used her guts as strings. Apparently, the lights had some chemical reaction with the cream, leaving his face melted. Barrett was very erratic on and off-stage both. His behavioral and anger issues were more than dangerous, as he had reportedly kept his girlfriend in ‘lock and key’ for 3 days, occasionally sliding ration of biscuits under the door. What makes him one of the most mysterious musicians of all time is the fact that, he apparently met a devil in his dreams and that devil taught him a piece of violin and Tartini tried to remember it and write it down after he woke up. Giuseppe’s ‘The Violin Sonata’, also known as “The Devil’s Sonata” became his most famous work, and it is so difficult that there were speculations that Tartini has one extra invisible finger to have been able to play that difficult music piece. It’s also rumored that anybody who can play the complete piece would lose his or her soul to the devil.

Robert Johnson is also a part of ‘The 27 Club’. The musician died after being poisoned in 1938. The mystery behind Robert Johnson is that he always wanted to play the guitar but wasn’t good at it. However, one night he went away and came back all changed. He apparently acquired his guitar skills overnight. When people asked him, he said, “I met the Devil at a crossroad.” The devil had bestowed him with the guitar talent he always desired. Robert went on to write an ode to the devil in the song “Me & the Devil”, which is based on that event.

However, he was a very private and shy person off-stage, as much as he seemed outgoing while performing.
